What is Crossfit? CrossFit is a complete and proven workout regime incorporating Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics (body-weight movements) and metabolic training. These workouts prepare you for anything and will keep you functionally fit for life! 


New to CrossFit? Beginners are required to start with our "on-ramp, fundamentals program" or personal training sessions prior to attending regular group classes.

MASTERS CROSSFIT 50+

This class is for athletes 50 years old and beyond.  All athletes must have taken Fundamentals prior to attendants. 

 

 

CrossFit Fundamentals 

 Our Fundamentals class is 4 weeks with 2 classes per week (8 total). It is designed to prepare your body for our regular classes. These 8 focused small group classes will educate you on all our foundational movements. This program includes but is not limited to;

-8 One hour long Small Group Classes to become familiar with core movements.

-Introduction to basic nutrition principles and all things fitness.

-Introduction to mobility, flexibility and recovery.

-8 Opportunities for coaches to posture screen and movement assess.

-Access to personal training at an additional cost.

-20% discount for Apex members.


CrossFit KIDS 8-12yrs

The short version; CrossFit Kids is a sports and conditioning program that teaches children the foundational movements of CrossFit. One of this classes prime objective is FUN through movement. 

The long version; CrossFit Kids is a method for teaching Greg Glassman’s CrossFit to children ages 3-18. Based on the principle of Mechanics, Consistency and then Intensity, CrossFit Kids emphasizes good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.

CrossFit Kids is meant to be BIG fun for all ages. Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. Further, the needs of second graders and high-school varsity wrestlers differ by degree and not kind; the program is scalable for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids. CrossFit Kids is designed to be minimalist; it is inexpensive and often requires little or no equipment, allowing a wide array of socioeconomic groups an opportunity to be physically fit and physically active throughout their lives. YOGA

HOT FLOW

Move through a unique sequence of poses to help stretch, strengthen and purify your mind and body. This HOT class ranges from 90 to 104 degrees. Bring a towel:)   


HEATED VINYASA FLOW

Heated Vinyasa Flow is a yoga class designed to help you synchronize your breath with movement. It is a powerful, energetic form of yoga that will increase strength and flexibility, encouraging awareness throughout your day. Temp is between 75*-85*


MEDITATION/HEATED FLOW

This class is designed to be an all levels flow class. It's focus is a guided meditation followed by an asana practice based on alignment and correct breathing techniques. This class will help strengthen the foundation of any Yoga practice. Open your mind, expand your breath and find balance in the body.  Temp is between 75*-85°

 

HEATED DEEP STRETCH

Restorative yoga in our heated studio.
Hold poses longer for a deeper stretch.
Room temp. about 75 degrees.

PRE-NATAL YOGA

Learn techniques to help with pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood.
This class is on an as needed basis so call if you are interested and we will create a class if there is not one in session.

DANCE
TOTS DANCE

3-5 year olds learn basic skills and taking direction.
Lots of creative movement and a whole half hour of fun.

CONTEMPORARY MOVEMENT

For ages 6-12 Learn modern dance with simple choreography put to music makes this 1 hour class a crowd pleaser.


CONTEMPORARY DANCE

For ages 10yrs & up.  A blend of ballet technique and control with the unpredictable and improvisational flow of modern dance. Expect any and all genres of dance to be taught and pulled from in this contemporary dance class. 


BEGINNING BALLET

For ages 7-10 Introduction to the discipline of ballet. Students will learn the basics and are required to dress in proper dance attire; leotard, tights and ballet shoes, (hair pulled back).


BALLET

For ages 8-16yrs.  This is a class for students who want to improve their technique in Ballet, or just learn this beautiful form of dance. Focusing on the Checchetti method we will take what you know and broaden your strength, balance, flexibility and overall technique. From classic to contemporary ballet we will pointe a toe in it all. It all begins with first position.


ADULT BALLET

Practice the fine art of Ballet with instructor Sylvia Ingram. Class meets weekly and is designed for those with some dance ballet experience. AMERICAN TRIBAL STYLE® BELLY DANCE

 

LEVEL I & II American Tribal Style® Belly Dance
w/ Lori Angove *Certified FCBD® (ATS®) Sister Studio Instructor 

American Tribal Style® Belly Dance (ATS®) is what happens when you combine old world and modern dance styles from the Middle East, North Africa, India and Spanish Flamenco.   ATS® is unique in that it is a improvisational group dance with an established dance “vocabulary,” which means that any ATS® dancer anywhere in the world can dance with another.

In this 6-week course, learn the basic dance vocabulary for this beautiful, collaborative, improvisational dance form. Using both slow movements and fast steps we’ll get you dancing in your first class. We’ll learn all basic movements and group formations including posture and body awareness, zils, and music. Finger Cymbals (zils) are required for week 3.

For the brand new student or the experienced dancer who wants to revisit the fundamentals. (drop ins welcome)

GYMNASTICS
TOTS TUMBLES & TWIRLS

This is a super fun 30min introductory dance and gymnastics class for 3-4 year olds. Tots will learn terminology and basic skills that will prepare them for future classes. Short choreography for flexibility and timing will be taught to help these little ones gain coordination and body awareness.   

GYMNASTICS GO GETTERS 

GO GETTERS is for beginning gymnasts ages 5-7yrs. It meets 45 min. 1x/wk Basics gymnastic terminology for safety and skills will be taught. All body positions, drills, repetitive basic tumbling, are drilled with attention to tumbling safely for further improvement. Gymnasts are expected to be able to be attentive to coached instructions and come ready to learn. Every new student in this age group must begin here. Coach Edmee will recommend your class placement upon completion.

 GYMNASTICS SKILL SHARPENERS 

SKILL SHARPENERS is a 60 minute class that meets 1x/wk. This class continues adding on to foundations taught in Go Getters. More emphasis is placed on working independently and sharpening basic skills to become habit. Technique will be taught as well as safety when tumbling. Practice outside of class is a must in order to keep up with the demands of this class as well as see improvement.  Coach Edmee will recommend your class placement upon completion.

**Prerequisite: GO GETTERS w/Coach recommendation

ALSO: This is the beginning class for students aged 8-10

GYMNASTICS POISE & PERFECTION 

POISE & PERFECTION is a 75 min gymnastics class that meets 1-2x/week. This class is a continuation of Skil Sharpeners.

Knowledge of gymnastic terminology for developing routines with combinations, connections, leaps and artistic instruction will be taught. Independent work ethic is a MUST. Coach Edmee will recommend your class placement, which could be this class and/or the next level. Invitation only for THE PEPPERS. Gymnasts are expected to come to class with set goals and determination to learn and perfect ones skills.

GYMNASTICS PERCISION & ELEGANCE 

PRECISION & ELEGANCE is a 75 minute gymnastics class that meets 1-2x/week. Advanced tumbling with coach detailed instruction for honing skills is taught in this class. Students will be expected to work independently with very little assistance. Tumbling series, varied connections and combinations including aerials and saltos will be learned at this level. Routines will be encouraged. Knowledge of gymnastics judging requirements for competition will also be learned.

GYMNASTICS ED's PEPPERS

ED’s PEPPERS with Coaches Edmee & Barbara is a 75 minute gymnastics class that is an invite only class. It meets 1x/wk.This will be a class devoted to learning a specific routine set to music involving tumbling, dance and acro stunts and is designed to be performed in front of an audience. As performance opportunities arise, readiness is key. Prime candidates for ED's PEPPERS are willing to work hard and take instruction well.

GYMNASTICS FOR BOYS

Learning how to tumble means knowing where to place your hands and direct your focus. This class aims to teach body awareness and self control. All skills learned will help improve one's strength and flexibility in a fun learning environment.

TEEN TUMBLING

TEEN TUMBLING with Coaches Edmee & Barbara is a 75 minute gymnastics class meeting 1x/week.

This is a drop in style class with no prerequisite. Learn quickly from the experience of this coaching duo to perfect your favorite skills or learn to do a cartwheel and move from there. Everybody is welcome. Athletes, cheerleaders, wrestlers, all will benefit from this class.

ADULT TUMBLING

ADULT TUMBLING with Coach Barbara (& asst Edmee) is a 60 minute gymnastics class that meets 1x/week. This is a drop in class. No prerequisite required. Learn quickly from the experience of Coach Barbara to perfect your favorite skill or see if you still have what it takes or…scratch that cartwheel off of your bucket list!
